First off--- I just finished a fantastic six miler. The entire house is STILL asleep and that run is done! What a great way to start off the weekend! I love a good run!
My run Wednesday was four miles and it was ok. Thursday, I had a really good five miler! After this morning I am at 26 for the week. I think it is time to start looking for a race.
We are in party mood around here! School award ceremonies are over with. The kids had a great year. Isaac and Anna both were on the honor roll (get ready to pay up Poppy
). On top of great grades, Anna was awarded the good citizenship award for never having a card pulled, and Isaac was awarded the science class award ( i know, he must take after his momma)! Yay...we are so proud of them.
Isaac's class (he is the first boy)

Anna's class---she is in the middle with the polka dots

This is what Dustin and Anna did for me Mother's Day morning. Isn't that sweet? Do you see the big, fat, pink book? That is my blog. Dustin had it turned into a book. I couldn't believe how big it was.
I might have said this one million times, but the main reason I keep going with this blog, is for its history. I am horrible at keeping baby books. All of the babies have one, but with each child, the words in the them become less and less. I know it is sad. But this blog has documented all of it, even with pictures! Even if I was just doing it for me and my family I think I would keep it up.
In fact, I think we are about to move off of our home server, and become more public (sorry, I really don't know what I am talking about).
Did you see our new poll? The Nerd said he was going to move me over to his hosting so my ip address will have to change. I am sure you couldn't tell, but Dustin picked the ones he liked best for the lineup. ![]()
I think I got a partner!

Monday I ran five and did a ton of squats and some arm weights. Tuesday morning my legs could feel those squats, but I still managed to get in six miles that day. The last three I even had some good hill work going on.

I think....(i hope)....the bug has left my son alone. He seems to be almost back to his usual self. Poor baby. It was bad. I hope it Never Ever happens again.
This is the last week of school. I can't believe it. Don't get me wrong, I am SO excited. I love the summer! I love having all of the kiddos home. I love going to the store with all of the gang and five hundred people stop and say with a smile, "you got your hands full, huh".
Seriously, except for the last part. I do love it having my kids home.
Having them home actually helps with my running too. I put them babies to work.
That way I have more time for me.....waaahahahahahahahahaha! child labor rules!
I already had my lowly goal of 20 for the week after my four miler on Friday, but I still did a three miler today. Good runs! I had 24 for the week! Hopefully, I am finally going to start clocking some more miles!

The stomach bug......do those words make you cringe? Well, my big baby, all 100+ pounds of him, has been dealing with this since Monday night! Wednesday, I thought we were on the better side of it. Then about 5:30 that night, he was started again. Really worried, I loaded him up and took him to the after hours doctor place. Isaac had to get blood drawn, but was so dehydrated they were not able to get blood out of the vein so they had to try the finger thing. Poor baby. He hasn't been through any thing like this since he was a brand new baby. Looking out him now, it is hard to imagine that he dropped down to not even five pounds the first week of his life. He had more wires coming out of his body than you would think was possible for something that small. Pricks, pinches, shots, bloodwork....I hated seeing it happen then and I hate it even more now. the doc actually thinks it was probably food poisoning because it has been so severe and no one else has been hit (yet)
.
He is on the mend though. I think.
The timing for this is bad too. Next week is the last week of school, and he was supposed to be in a talent show today at school. We all were upset he had to miss it. He has been working so hard on his piano. I told him next year he can try out again and will be ready to win the stinker !
I have ran this week. Monday and Tuesday were both five miles. Wednesday was three and today I did four. Good resistance exercises too on two days! My run today I was struggling a little. My time was 37:45. I was feeling a little queasy and wasn't sure I was going to make it.....so, I turned the speed up and tried to hurry and get it over with. I hate runs like that. When I feel like I just want to get done already.
oh well. I finished
